This is one of a series of quilting blocks for baby quilts or wallhangings. You are receiving 3 designs:

1. Design with embroidered buttons in the 4 corners of the quilting block and the word “boy”;
2. Design without the word “boy” so you can insert a child’s initial.
   The word “boy” uses Oma’s Place’s Classic Alpha Bold ¾”. This alphabet would work well for initial placement, too.
3. Just the applique blocks, the word “BOY”.

The fabric “frame” around the design is reverse appliqued, part of the design inside of the “frame” is appliqued as well. You will end up with a finished, usable 6” square quilting block. You can easily adapt the block to be even as large as 8” by leaving the fabric frame around the design larger. Use the applique blocks for coordinating projects. Leave off the reverse applique frame and just stitch the ricrac frame with the blocks onto a pillow or other coordinating project.

For a different look, leave off the embroidered buttons, and handsew 3 D buttons to the 4 corners of the quilting block.
