Barbara, welcome to machine embroidery – a wonderful hobby that will give you hours upon hours of creative fun. My free designs only come in pes, but the for purchase ones come zipped up in pes, hus, and jef.
There is a free program that’s available here that you can use to convert to your format of choice:

I love the look of your designs. I am fairly new to machine embroidery and know that I cannot use the pes format. How do I try out your free designs?

Betty, just go to “FreeDesigns” at the top of the page, and a new page will pop up that will
show you all the designs. To the right of each picture is a download link. I just tried it myself
and all seems to be functioning well. let me know if you continue to have problems.
