I thought I would share with you two of my latest projects. I put together a little baby present for a friend of our daughter-in-law’s. And tomorrow will be our granddaughter Saarah’s first full-time kindergarten day and she requested a nap mat from Grandma. Grandma just finished it… none too early. I think Saarah was really worried I wasn’t going to make it. Actually, I was, too! LOL!
Lately I have enjoyed making little baby balls. This is the link to the pattern. It is soooo easy and so much fun. You can use up your left over pieces of scrap fabric and have the kids or grandkids join you in stuffing the balls. I like to make the little ball match the baby present I give. Give it a try. I think you will enjoy making them. The ball pattern comes in three sizes. I made the medium one this time but actually think the smallest is the cutest for a baby. Here is the link:
Do look around that site. Some gorgeous patterns for free – a winter cap for little girls, tiered ruffled skirt, and fabulous samples of somebody else’s work, not to mention the fabulous fabrics this designer has come up with. Enjoy.
The nap mat I made from a pattern I got off the internet, but then modified it quite a bit. So, I won’t be sharing the actual pattern. If you do a search online you’ll find all sorts of sources for them. However, I did make a name label and velcro tabs. I will post them under free designs for your enjoyment. The velcro tabs will be posted later this week. I don’t have time tonight to write out the instructions. But I will post the name label. Also, I am a little late this week on new designs. Too much going on. I think I will be posting either tomorrow or Wednesday. Enjoy the week and know that God loves you!
