This mini placemat for 8×12 hoops helps celebrate the beautiful season of autumn. The mats are about half the size of a regular placemat and quite a bit larger than our 5×7″ mug rugs. The mini placemat accommodates a dessert plate and mug easily. The center is reverse appliqued and the background around the center is stipple quilted. The borders are applied while in hoop. Roll up the mat and place it in a lunch bag. Given the right fabrics, these would make great teacher’s gifts, too.
The mini placemat is completely stitched as an in the hoop project. There is no other sewing machine or hand stitching required.
