For the 7×11” or 8×8” hoops
This small applique heart pillow is made as a partial in the hoop project. The background is shadow quilted in a heart motif and the center heart is appliqued. The top and bottom borders are applied during the embroidery. The two long side borders and back of the pillow get attached on the sewing machine. The envelope style pillow back is constructed using a very easy, no sew technique. Detailed instructions with many photos are included with your download.
Intended for use with a 12”x12” size pillow form . (Easy instructions for making your own pillow form are included.)

Supplies Needed
Fusible fleece (Pellon 971F or 987F)
2 contrasting/coordinating fabrics
(1 for the center background; 1 for the sides and back)
3 small pieces of fabric for the appliques
Steam a Seam 2 or HeatNBond Lite
Small curved tip scissors
(1) 12” x 12” h pillow form
Painters’ or masking tape
Mini Iron
Stabilizer: Polymesh (preferred) or medium tear away
