The background is stipple quilted and the pumpkins are appliqued. We show you how in our instructions. The borders are applied while the embroidery is in the hoop and the ricrac is part of the design.
The design comes with thorough instructions in pdf format with clear photos. You are receiving 2 stitch files: 1 mug rug with the wording and pumpkin as shown and another one without a center design or wording.
This project is entirely completed in the hoop; no additional sewing machine or hand stitching required.
