Instead of sending a traditional congratulatory card, why not send a mug rug instead. It will last longer than a traditional card and would make a great memento. Use school colors for the numbers and outlines to personalize it. This project is entirely completed in the hoop; no additional sewing machine or hand stitching required. The center fabric is reverse appliqued and quilted while in the hoop. Detailed instructions in pdf format are part of your download.
